The following information courtesy of Dr.Jane Holmes: 1841 census shows that prior to Thomas's marriage in 1846, the first three children carried the surname Sparkes. Susannah and the children were then living at 32 Bath Street, Derby. Thomas Tunaley Jnr. was not a resident.

Some time after daughter Sarah married in 1882, Susannah the mother left Derby for Camberwell, London, probably to live with or close to other daughter Elizabeth who in 1891 was living in Newington London, according to census of that year.
